Area of Study: I consider what lessons a range of stakeholders (such as governmental policy makers, NGOs, financial institutions, institutional donors and community groups) can learn from recent history, and how these lessons apply to an evolving context in which environmental and other trends and shocks, as well as the many possibilities of ICT, are affecting rural lives and economies.
